I have been doing yoga with Michelle since 2011. Even though I'm very much a beginner, Michelle helps me feel competent and athletic, which no yoga instructor has ever done for me before! The past three years of yoga practice with Michelle has been amazing...It's a real breakthrough, since I had been doing yoga for about 15 years before that and had felt out of place and incompetent before. Michelle is one of the finer instructors of yoga, she cares and listens…my wrists have become stronger and my flexibility has increased. |
She has a graceful way of sneaking in the more challenging poses while you're calmly breathing so before you know it, you're balancing in Warrior 3 and sweating like crazy. Her class is a good balance of rigor and relaxation. I've learned many insights this past semester (with Michelle Chua)...my first time taking yoga. It is not just about how flexible one is in poses but rather how one can use breathing techniques (to enhance the quality of the experience). I've personally used the breathing techniques during my stressful workday and found it very beneficial. |
We enjoy your classes and look forward to them. We are probably your oldest students, at age 91 and 81, but still actively involved in work and community affairs, thanks in large part to yoga and how much we have learned from your classes!

Yoga was very foreign. I didn't know what each pose meant...(or) how important your breath is...I've improved so much in my breathing (during this semester with Michelle Chua learning yoga for the first time). I'm now able to hold myself up in downward facing dog. I also find myself starting my day with child's pose and three minutes of meditation. |
Michelle is intuitive and in tune with each of her student's needs. She takes the time and puts forth the effort to create a tranquil space where you can truly let go and either open up to the universe or focus inward. She will make physical hands-on assists as needed and help you really get the experience you seek. I highly recommend her class for beginners and advanced practitioners. |
